example 79 in 11.21
« on: September 18, 2019, 04:19:26 AM »
I try to test the new web barcode module 79, but after compiling and executing the barcode does not work, I know that it is necessary to run it safely and moved my example to my secure site, but it does not work, no javascript error.

NT 11.21

Hi osquiabro

I didn't try the example but I did create a procedure in an existing app to try it out and it worked.

We need some more info, I think.
What happens when you run the app?
Do you see the scanner field on the form? (ie is the camera active)

I did take a look at the site while it was up and entered some data manually since the cam was not active. That resulted in an error saying that PHP was not supported...

So I'm not sure what's going on there and I'm afraid I can't help you on this. Maybe someone else or maybe Bruce once he's settled in Orlando.

Hi,

For PHP support IN NTWS you need OddJob.

remember that webcams typically have both a poor resolution, and a very long focal length - not great for reading small barcodes. Phones are much better.
