Photo from Ipad/Iphone
« on: March 26, 2017, 08:26:34 PM »
Hi All!

How would you handle this situation:

Customer has a nettalk webserver program.
Wants to make a report on 'Something', and add some photo's of the situation.

The final report should consist of:
Some text
one or more photo's

It's important, that the 'Click' to take the photo comes from the nettalk application, and that the nettalk application uploads the photo without user interaction.

Possible?

How to?

Does there exist a sammple as starting point?

Best regards from a new spring week here in Denmark

Hi Edvard,

I've done it, but my NT mobile app, its essentially hand coded. Plus, I'm a bit behind the latest version of NT.

So maybe someone else knows whether it can be done with stock NT (Even if it can't the html required to access the camera is simple).

Meanwhile, if you are interested, take a look at:

https://freedom.litehouse.com.au

account = 14
login = bs
password = TempPassword!

You can see how it works using say Chrome, iPhone, Android or iPad (just try it from each device).

To find the photo bit in the app:

1. select "Listings" on bottom menu, then Listings again on the popup.

2. click on any listing

3. click on second tab "Photos"

4. click on the icon of a camera (right hand side)

5. After you select or take a photo (iphone will ask if you want to take a photo or select one from the library)

6. The [Upload] icon will appear, click it to upload the photo. New photo will appear at the bottom of the list of photos.

(i've given you a mostly empty dataset, so there isn't much else in the app).

Regards
Bill

Hi Edvard,

>> The final report should consist of: Some text + one or more photo's

ok, so a NetWebform.

>> It's important, that the 'Click' to take the photo comes from the nettalk application, and that the nettalk application uploads the photo without user interaction. Possible?

yes.
The "File Upload" form field type has a couple options which help here. They allow the user to take a picture, or select a picture from their gallery. I _think_ the File Upload example is set up to show this - although I'm not 100% sure.

>> How to?

If you don't get going from the above then let's walk through it at the webinar on Thursday.

cheers
Bruce

Hi Bruce!

Seems like it's pretty straight forward.
I will download latest edition, and try to make a prototype tomorrow.
If i need help on Thursday, I hope i can be one of the first - I have to support my local handball team....

Best regards

Edvard

I answer the questions mostly in order that they are asked - so just post your question nice and early into the questions box on Thursday :)
