webserver Window pops up
« on: March 07, 2015, 01:58:47 AM »
Hi,

When I am testing my app, the webserver window keeps popping up over my browser window.
Because I have only one monitor, this becomes rather annoying.
Is there anything I can do about this?

Cheers,
Rene

Hi Rene
If you have winevent you can add the "add Icon to System Tray" extension  to your Webserver Procedure.
In settings tab set as per the attached

um - get another monitor?  :)

Actually that's only half in jest - chances are your machine already has multiple monitor outlets, if not adding a screen card is easy enough. And monitors are so cheap now (compared to your time) that you will find it a LOT easier to program (anything) with more monitor space.

If you only have one monitor then it's hard to see the server, the browser, and debugview all at the same time - and if you can't see them then you can easily miss clues when things don't work right.

Of course, if you just add an icon to the Server window then you can just minimize it as you would any app. Or do like Terry says and add it to the system tray.

Cheers
