Check Box and Download Link not working

Hi Bruce

Nettalk 8.27

I have a checkbox with 'Yes' 'No' option, when I click on it the value on the browser it does not change, however it updates the record on the database correctly.

The  "click her to download file" does not work nothing happens. The file is on the server.

Both these problems worked on previous versions.

You can go to fv.schoolreps.co.za (this is a test system)
Signin  admin   password  admin

go to Results -  Comments   (you can test the check box here)

Then

Go to  Reports   - Grade Reports - select grade 2    mrs Morais Roxzanne - start report (click on download link)

what version are you coming from?

unfortunately I can't see what is wrong. Do you get the same effect in the example? (If you do then send me that app so I can try and duplicate here). If not the CLW might give me some clues, but the best way is to have an example app of some kind.

again - I think I will need to see an example. There's no error in the console log (which would have been one potential cause) but I'm also not seeing the checkbox "refresh" itself, which is the default behavior. Perhaps there is some embed code in the procedure?

Aside: Incidentally this page is _really_ slow - if I click on a student name it takes anything from 10 to 40 seconds to see the Student Assessment. You may want to look at the keys and filters in place here (ie on the Student Assessment browse) because it should be pretty much instant. Even allowing for a slow connection to your test machine, this delay seems excessive..

I'm coming from 8.26 (the downloading of files worked in this version) and the check box worked in 8.10.

Not sure why your response is slow, my users are getting sub second response.

I'll try put something together and will send it to you.
