Limiting Number of sessions.

How would one go around limiting the number of sessions and asking the users to try later or something.
I know there is a way to limit threads, but what would be an easy way to limit sessions?

I don't think limiting sessions would serve any purpose. The key metric is requests per second (which translates into the thread limit). The resources consumed by any individual session are very small compared to the resources consumed by a thread.

The key thing to watch is RAM - if that is getting high (say over a gig or so) then you want to start paying attention.
