EIP - Browse Refresh
« on: September 11, 2008, 03:18:57 AM »
PR 12
If an EIP field on the browse is also the sort order field, after the EIP field has been changed the browse does not refresh and re-order itself.

It also occasionally created "33 record not found" errors too. This may be linked but haven't tracked this one down yet.
Thanks

Bryan

Hi Bryan,

In the EIP settings, Client-Side Tab, you can set the Browse to refresh after the EIP if you like. If you get smart you could make it dependent on the current sorting column.

To be honest I'm in two minds as to whether this would be a good or bad feature. If you were editing a bunch or records you'd probably go crazy...

Regarding the record not found errors, I'd love an example of that if you can please.

Cheers
Bruce

None of those tickboxes on the Client-Side Tab do anything to make the browse re-order after changing a EIP field.

The only way I've found of replicating the 33 error is when you amend the last record in a browse. e.g. 3 records in a browse with an EIP field. Change the EIP entry in the first record, press tab. Change the EIP entry in the second record and press tab. Change the EIP entry in the last record, press tab. Then the 33 error should occur, although you can carry on using the program.
Thanks
