URL without /procedure name
« on: May 03, 2013, 05:03:40 AM »
Hi,
Playing with exmple 31 I realized that the url showed by the explorer is 127.0.0.1:88 no matter what procedure.
In my apps I allways see  127.0.0.1:88/LoginPage or whtaever the proc name is.
How do you hide the proc name from the url?
Thanks

Example 31 uses Frames which is why it does that. (which I don't recommend).

A better approach is make use of the Content Body feature, which does the same thing, without frames, and makes your app faster.

cheers
Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Your link cites limitations. Are they lifted?

Current limitation: The current build does not support "page based apps". In other words if your browse opens a form, NOT as a popup, then don't use this feature yet. Also it probably breaks mobile apps, so don't use it there yet either. These restrictions will likely be lifted in a build or two.

I'm not sure Kevin. I don't play with pure page-based apps a lot, so likely in that case it's still somewhat limited.
