Default sort order
« on: February 29, 2012, 01:43:13 AM »
I am not quite sure how to address this issue.

I have a diary file comprising date and time fields. The sort order should be descending date/time.

I finally realised that no matter what the dictionary is set up as, the properties of the fields override everything.

So I made the DATE field the default sort order (descending). However I also need to add another field (descending time) to that. So I tried setting it up as shown attached. I did not put a - sign in front as the descending check box above was checked.

However I am getting spurious messages. Sometimes it will not let me put anything in the - field unless I put something in the + field and in any event the sort order does not work.

How can I get the default sort order to change from descending date to descending date and time?

Thanks

John
