Changing field sizes
« on: January 10, 2012, 03:20:05 PM »
A numeric field in my dictionary is defined as @n-10.2 and NT6 creates windows as shown attached. The fields could actually be reduced to @n6.2.

The thing is that I want to rearrange those fields in a cell pattern using last on line etc. but the widths are too large. Half the width would be better so I could get 3 columns. (See purple example)

I have tried changing the width, picture and maximum lengths on the field properties but they are still generated at this standard width.

Is there a way to change these and reduce them by half the width for example?

I know I can change the width of the form but that is not ideal.

Thanks

John

the "Width (chars)" setting lets you determine how wide the entry box is.

this is distinct from the "Max Length" setting which prevents the user from actually typing more than n characters.
