missing c70net.lib
« on: March 17, 2011, 09:29:01 AM »
Just downloaded and installed net talk 5.18 ( I was a few versions behind this ).  Using C7.3 .7995.   All of  examples complain that C70net.lib is missing.   I can't find it anywhere on my computer.  Did this get left out of the build?
Thanks,
Ron Jolda

Ron,

I don't think you get c70net.dll with NetTalk 5, so you probably don't need the lib either.  At least, I don't have the c70net.dll...

Are you using NT 4 examples or NT 5 examples?

Regards,
Flint

Interesting - it is the Net talk 5.
The C70net.lib is defined in the solution list for each Net Talk example.  If I remove it, I get tons of errors....
Yikes...

Clarion 7.3 renamed the DLLs from C70* to CLA*.
So there are no more C70NET Dll, it's now called CLANET.DLL.

There is a bug in Clarion 7.3 though, if you install it on top of 7.2, where it complain after the link, that C70NEt.DLL is unavailable for copy. You can ignore that. If you want it to go away, delete your SoftVelocity settings, and re-install 7.3.

If you get errors when removing C70Net from your project tree, then unregister the NetTalk template, and re-register it.

cheers

I found the quickest way to deal with the missing c70net.lib message in the example apps, is to delete any existing cwproj or sln files for the example and then generate and build the app.
