Why is my NT app loosing connection with the Internet

Hi,
I have 3 NT apps running on a server all listening to different PORTS
They are all running as a service.
ONE of the apps which is listening on PORT 8080 intermittently looses connection and so the page wont load.
Task manager shows it is running.
The solution is to stop the service and restart it
My Question is:
Why is this happening and why is it always the same app when the others are identical but with different PORT numbers.?

If it works intermittently I would suspect that another application may be blocking that port or possibly an anti-virus app interfering.  Seems the firewall wouldn't be an issue or it would never connect.

I would try a different port with that one server and see if it works without interruption. Then you can start narrowing down where the problem is.

Hi,
 Clients IT company advised that PORT 8080 is probably being used by one of the myriads of Antivirus, anti malware applications they insist on running
Changed the PORT - all OK
