Shoestrap theme broken?
« on: January 19, 2018, 08:42:37 PM »
Hi All,
I cannot get the shoestrap themes to display
I can successfully load  sunny and Windows in the extension

I have checked out Webinar 94 which has a section on using, in the address line localhost:99?_theme_=shoestrap3
- nothing happens.
but sunny and windows will change
As per the webinar, I have  unchecked cache  in the performance tab of the webserver...
recompiled - no joy.

However in example 3 the theme shoestrap3 works
-this has cache ticked ON
so I copied the shoestrap3 theme folder and that didnt help either

Is there a solution please/
Thanks

Richard

what happens if you set your app to use the shoestrap3 theme by default?

If any of the shoestrap themes are set as the default , none display and I get a pearly washed out appearance with no colours on any button.
I can flick back to sunny, Windows, whale or  bottle successfully using ?_theme_= theme name
but not then back to any shoestrap.

I wonder whether I have conflict with some of the newer capesoft templates im using which are not in the example that successfully displays shoestrap3 ?

Thanks Bruce...
Regards,
Richard

Bruce, further to...
On looking at the shoestrap3 theme  in my app and comparing it with example 3 I appear to have the theme without the  buttons and icons displaying in colour

Thanks
Richard

Good Day Richard,

I would make sure all of your files in the web folder exist and are formatted properly.

Look in your app's directory and run the copyall.bat and gzipall.bat in that order.

Good luck,

Don

Thanks Don,
This is what I have done
Checked the web themes folder for the  presence of shoestrap3 - confirmed
( I mentioned earlier I copied in the shoestrap3 theme from the Example 3 where it works.)
Set shoestaps 3 as the default theme
Ran the two BAT files in order as stipulated
Recompiled and ran
-still no coloured buttons or icons.

Im going to activate all third parties  in the example 3 that I have applied  in the app and see....

Cheers
Richard

OK nothing changed when I added in the Third party exts.
I have compared both NT Ext 3 fields - all exactly the same
still no colour on icons or buttons
Frustrating - where to now ?
Thanks

we probably need to do a TeamViewer session to see what's going on.
Email me when you're awake.

cheers
