Pre Update is being called when inserting a record

Hi, I updated to version 9.21 and start having a strange behavior on a form.
This form has about 4 lookups an a child browse.
When I open the form to insert a record, and then I open a Lookup, the routine preupdate is called...

What I'm doing wrong?

when something happens on an update it's always good to mention the version you were updating from.

I think I'd need to see an example of what you mean.
