Paypal IPN SSL Problem after Upgrading 6 to 7
« on: April 01, 2014, 07:59:10 AM »
For certain reasons I can't go to 8 right now...

I upgraded a webserver from 6 to 7.  Of course I ran into the SSL changed, etc. and made the appropriate changes....

I can connect to the site with any web browser and get a valid certificate, etc.
The problem is Paypal says they can't "establish ssl"
I can post to my IPN page.  I can take their posting and it works.

But they continue to say they can't establish ssl.

I don't think it's my firewall (I can reach the page from outside).....

I ran SSL scan and it reports:
    Accepted  SSLv3  256 bits  AES256-SHA
    Accepted  SSLv3  128 bits  AES128-SHA
    Accepted  SSLv3  168 bits  DES-CBC3-SHA

Thoughts?

This wont help much be we wrote a PayPal interface and the IPN stuff works fine with sites running SSL using NT7.07.

Appreciate the encouragement   :o

Mine was running for years - literally.  Had to add functionality and ended up with this problem w/ Paypal - did not change that procedure at all.....

Had to "change the location" of my certificate, but that took a few minutes and was working fine.

When Paypal tries to post the IPN, I get NADA in the log.  No https activity at all.

So, my though was perhaps its an issue with encryption.

Does anyone know, if (d)encryption fails is anything posted to the log on screen?
