Error on updating record

Please can anyone help keep getting this error: An error(ERROR: invalid byte sequence for encoding "UTF8": 0xa0; Error while executing the query (22021)) was experienced when making changes to page file.  when i try to update a record. Using sql backend and the field is set to character(20000)

your best bet would be to write some simple source code to see what happens if you populate this character into a field, and then use regular clarion to write the record.

In other words, simulate this in a normal windows app, outside of nettalk.
