Dictionary of Settings
« on: December 27, 2013, 02:15:41 PM »
Could anyone tell me if there is a dictionary available which contains explanations of all of the settings and fields in the NetTalk templates?  I know that there are some descriptions in Bruce's 'Building Web Applications' book but is there something comprehensive - this would be incredibly useful.

Thanks

Keith

Hi Keith,

You mean like the Template Reference?
http://www.capesoft.com/docs/NetTalk7/NetTalkWebFunctionality.htm

It's complete for all the web templates, with the exception of the NetWebForm which is a continuing work-in-progress. It's a priority to keep this up to date, so well worth paying attention to.

If you (or anyone) finds a setting that is inadequately described them please feel free to let me know.

cheers

It hasn't always been there - it's something that's been steadily growing over the last while. There's just the form part to complete, and then it will be finished - and my goal is to make sure it remains current, so all settings are added there as they are created.

That said, you should have noticed it before as it's been mentioned in the release notes a fair bit. You _do_ read the release notes for each update don't you? :)

cheers
