The single most important benefit of Clarion is reduced software development
effort. Clarion developers complete projects in a third of the time that
would be required by Visual Basic, Delphi, or PowerBuilder developers. The
reason is simple: The Clarion application generation technology creates
source code that programmers don't have to write. This is all true for
Windows programs.
On the Internet (client browser) side, Clarion isn't doing very much.
However, there are great Javascript frameworks available, of which ExtJS is
the best (IMHO).
What I want to do, is bring people together who wants to participate to a
project that brings Clarion power (the template language) to the Internet
browser.
In other words, create templates to generate Javascript/ExtJS code that
integrates ExtJS with Clarion server programs running on CapeSoft NetTalk
technology.
The same time, I want to joint-develop a webshop e-commerce application,
based on Clarion/NetTalk/ExtJS using the templates we will create.
