John's Adding FM3 problem..

Hey John,

I cannot view the other thread now.  Guess I reached the limit.

Okay, try this, copy the UPG file from your development machine to your data directory.

You normally wouldn't have to do this but, trust me, give it a shot.

no, copy it to your working folder or exe folder. You do need to be very careful with your upg file so once copied to the server hopefully that will fix it for you going forward.

Yes.  Copy it to where ever the current UPG file is being generated.  Back up your data first!

Thanks Kevin but no joy. It is obviously an upg problem because when I download the file it is the old format. So it is not upgrading it.

It is late here so I will get some sleep and tackle it again tomorrow probably from scratch. At this stage I am just testing but want to make sure it works once this goes live.

Was working fine on the development machine but I should not have to copy the upg file at all surely.

Tomorrow will tell.

Thanks

John

>> re-read the fm3 docs about the upg file. It can only handle changes from a certain point forward so I would be copying your data, upg and exe to your server and then test making a change. It all needs to be in sync to start with and then it should work.
