SelfService - Error 1067 - The process terminated unexpectedly
« on: December 14, 2010, 02:39:38 AM »
Hi all,

I am in a bit of a mess, rewrote my NetTalk 4 app to NetTalk 5 and suddenly I cannot start the Service anymore, I get the above error.

Clarion 6.3 Build 9054
NetTalk 5.0
SelfService 3.19

Any ideas, I need to go away and some clients need this up and running ASAP?

Thanks
Charl

PS. I have seperate issues which I will post in seperate threads...

could be almost anything - but I'm think it's probably not directly related to NetTalk.

If you run your program as an Exe, do you have to do anything? click any button, choose any menu, anything like that?

Does your program have a Frame procedure in it?

Are you following all the rules (see Self Service docs) when it comes to Services?

Do you have MessageBox in the application? If so have you turned on logging? If so are there any messages in the log?

Cheers

In the short-term of course, you can run the Exe as an Exe on the client's machine so at least the site is running.

Nope.

No, got rid of that (I think) just normal Headers, Footers, Browses and Forms and so on.

--- Are you following all the rules (see Self Service docs) when it comes to Services?

I copied it exactly as I had in in NetTalk 4, but I have another app where this is actually working.  However, I am using some Variables in the Service Name, I will try to use something else and see what happens.

No.

Too cut a long story short, I removed the Template, saved the app under a differnet name, etc and added the template again without variables.

Hey presto and Bob's your uncle.

I don't know whether it was caused by upgrading to NT5.06 or the variables as I don't need them right now, but there you go.
