Blank records being created on insert

Hi
In order to have the customer or order record ID available to the form, I have "Autoincrement-even-if-not-needed" checked. Now every record has an empty shadow record. One is created and then when it is saved, apparently, the ID is incremented again. Is that supposed to happen, or am I not using this properly?

It's a bug, fixed in 5.06.
