Hi, I have some browses that are embedded in a form.  The form is directly called from the menu.  When I change the browse's form to a popup, the popup form does not display.

I reproduced this using the accounts example.  If you click on the "Analysis>>Customers" menu item, and try to edit a customer record, the popup form does not display.  The only unique thing I see about that browse is it is embedded in a memory form.

Thanks!

I'm only having the prob if the popup form is in another app although I have not tried calling a popup from a menu.

Hi Kevin,

I have the problem when a parent and child browse are on a form.
The form is directly called from the menu.
The popup for the parent works fine.
The popup for the child does not.
When I uncheck popup for the child, I get a regular update form for the child so I can move on.
But since the popup possibility is there.... I want to use it.

Hi Rene,

I am still having the problem in my app too.  I do notice that the example app I mentioned in the original message works now, so there must be more to it.  I am going to see if I can create a simple app to send to Bruce to isolate the problem, as my app uses SQL and would be a pain to try to provide it as an example.

Hi Dave,

There is more...
When I use the insert button, the browse does not refresh after I click save.

Hi Folks,

I have a situation where I load the popup from a browse (as per normal) and it will allow one insert only.  Thereafter, the popup will not load, if I move to another menu option and then return, I can once again have one shot at doing an insert.

This was reported on another thread. I had the same prob - looks like a bug. Just remove the popup option until it is fixed.

Cheers,

Kev

Hi all,

Bruce stated "there are still a couple of rough edges with regard to the popup forms" in  build 32.
I think we have made clear that something isn't right and Bruce has made clear he is aware of that. So let's just wait and see.

Thank you,
Rene
