Export to Excel - The file is corrupt and cannot be opened
«

I am testing a small browse (browse.jpg)
If I do an export of the whole browse I get the message above when opening in Excel
So I tested each record individually
All the records exports open in Excel except the record D00813 which has the error.
Attached are 2 xml files one generated by a successful open, the other an unsuccessful open.
Looking at the BusinessPartnerFail.xml file in notepad I cannot see anything in the file that could cause this.
Any ideas?

I've sent you an updated xfiles.clw to try. Let me know if it works and I'll make a build for general release.
cheers

Hi Bruce
I installed build xfiles 2.69
I found during my testing over the weekend that the same problem occurred.
I reverted to the xfiles.clw that you sent me by email and the problem disappeared.

I'm not able to duplicate the problem with 2.69 Terry - maybe you can help with an example?

Hi Bruce
Not sure if this will help.
XfilesA.clw is the clw which had the original problem
XfilesB.clw is the clw installed with Xfiles269
Xfiles.clw is the file you emailed me and which I have replaced in the accessory\libsrc \win folder and which does not generate the error.
The XfilesB.clw and Xfiles.clw have different sizes
In the attached images winmerge found 2 sets of differences although one just looks like a positioning issue
The list on the left is the xfiles.clw that I am currently using.
If this doesn't help I will reinstall the 269 version and try to find a record that causes the issue.

Hi Terry,
I think the best would be an example of a browse, and data, which shows the effect. I've got the other files, but in my tests here with columns I'm not seeing the effect you are reporting.
cheers
