Hi Mike,

Well you get credit for the shortest posting so far. Unfortunately there's not sufficient information there for a meaningful reply.

What steps can I take to duplicate the problem here?

but basically I am saying the busy icon that used to show at the bottom right is no longer visible.
ie. when you press next in a browse or save on a form , if the network was slow you would momentarily see the spinning wheel. In 8.15 and 8.14 it wasn't there. In 8.10 it was.

hmmm - I haven't made any changes that should affect this... I'll look in some examples and see what I see...

Any progress? I have compiled your web25.app with nettalk 8.10 and string theory 2.04 and when you browse through records the busy gif shows momentarily in the bottom right hand corner, however when I compile with nettalk 8.17 string theory 2.07 the busy gif no longer shows.

This is crucial to my application, because it generates a 350 page PDF document, although the generation process is quick, shown by my progress bar, there is at least a minute elapse time during the generation of the pdf report and appearance of the download link. Without the the busy logo popping up every second or so it appears that the system is hanging confusing the users.

Am having a similar problem in NT8.18.

Seems like the little wheel no longer appears. I'm getting reports from people since the upgrade (from NT7 to NT8.18), and can affirm inside the system (using Chrome and IE and Firefox) that the wheel no longer seems to be appearing.

Not sure yet whether it's always not appearing or just sometimes.

Will do some more investigation, but this is killing my people whose brains need to see the wheel for them to know the system is still working.

Done a bit more investigating.

Seems like the busy div is not being un-hidden.

It's definitely there (pic), being generated from the "Site" template settings (another pic).

Not sure if this helps, but here's a screen of an example button that used to show the gif when called (calls a function that runs for a couple of seconds).

Button is a "Button" type in the template. Is ticked to Send Value to Server, and to refresh the browse that the function call is populating.

Is there an example that has a decent (couple of seconds) function to run on button click?

Just wanting to try and replicate this. Will probably just do some looping or something to simulate a process.
