« on: April 22, 2014, 03:00:21 AM »
Ok, here goes an example based in the web3.
Just trying to add an IMageMap with a display field and it does nothing.
Atteched goes the example.
In the form I´ve added the image itself (images\hombrecito.jpg) and the ImageMap below it.
Anything spetial I need to do?

I can see you're not really getting it.
I'll need to add a "ImageMap" Form Field type for you.
I won't be able to do that today, but I'll try and do it soon.

cheers

ImageMaps and "Maps" are very different animals - despite the word "map" being used in both names.
The class support for image maps already exist, but clearly a template solution is needed for those who can't hand-code to it.

Understood, I´ll wait for the template.

Will it be possible to make "marks" over the IMageMap as now its possible with maps?

Do you have any idea about when will you relase it?

Thanks

no, the basic ImageMap functionality does not include this.

would they need to drag the marks around, click on them to go to a form, or delete them after they've been added?

Basically they need:
-Add a mark.
-Click on it to go to a form to insert a note and a type of mark, may be this type cuold define its icon or its color and the note the tooltip of the mark.
-Delete the mark, this could be done from a browse if its hard to code.
-Drag would be good, but it could be deleted and creted again if its hard to code.

That would be a lot of work to do - so probably months away.

In the meantime you could do some research on creating custom maps, and being your own map provider - that way you could use the Map control. But that's well down my list at the moment, so I doubt I'd get to that before the end of the year at the earliest.

OK, I found scriblemaps.com
I import my image and save the map, having the map ID.
Now, how can I set the Map provider if its not in the template maps list?
Please, see image...
