Child browse insert/change/delete buttons don't work
« on: September 26, 2008, 05:50:56 AM »
I have a parent browse, with 2 children browses.

--- -- --

If I select a different parent record (by clicking on it), then the children browses update correctly.  However, the insert/change/delete buttons don't do anything.  Now if I refresh the page, then the children buttons work fine.

I am using the template buttons set below the browse.

FF3, NT PR14

Hi David,

Is the page online somewhere?
Or can you post us an example?

I'm _guessing_ the problem is most likely in the browse itself. You've ticked on "Allow xHTML" - or embedded xHtml - which is not valid xHTML. This typically causes the effect you are describing.

I will look to put it online for your review.

I checked the 3 browses and I do not have "Allow xHTML" checked for any of the template options.  The only place I have xHTML is in my header.  Would that affect the browses?

Hi David,

yes, the header is part of the browse (in the dynamic update sense) so it could affect things if the xHtml in the header is not perfectly formed xHtml. But I should be able to tell that from when it's online.

Resolved.  You would think I would have learned from my other post where my timer on the browse was not working....

My browses where in a form.  This is why they where not updating correctly.  I have add them to a NetWebPage and they work fine.

Hi David,

I think I've got the whole browse-in-a-form thing working in PR15.
I haven't tested with timers yet, but I'll do that today.

Cheers
