Two apps using same port at different times doesn't work
« on: November 06, 2013, 04:42:12 AM »
Hi Bruce: I'm trying to demo two separate apps (each in a separate folder).   One is simply a website with no editing allowed.  The other is SSL.  They opened up port 5082 for me to use in order to demo the apps. The website demo works fine. The SSL app doesn't respond to an incoming requests -- as though it isn't listening at all.

I have the certificates where they belong under the web app.  I am prefixing the SSL address with https://.  I close one before running the demo of the other. I am missing the obvious, I am sure.  Any direction?

Thanks.

what I usually do in this case is turn off the "suppress errors" option on the WebServer extension. (normal nettalk setting.)
That usually indicates what I've done wrong.
(It's usually a configuration issue, like a missing SSL DLL or misplaced certificate or something.)

cheers
