mobile form not returning to browse
« on: July 07, 2013, 01:41:05 PM »
C8 9661 NT 7.11

I have a browse that links to the form via a link on one of the fields in the browse list. Only updates are allowed. The form is displayed correctly in both the regular and mobile version.

In the regular version clicking the save or cancel button on the form will return to the browse. On the mobile version clicking the save or cancel button returns to the index page. How can I get the mobile version to return to the browse instead of the index page like it does in the regular version?

Thanks,

Chuck

Chuck,

You can "manually" force the form to return to specific page.

Check out my attached screenshot.

Don,

Why would this be necessary for mobile and not regular - there is no problem in the regular version, only the mobile version.

This has been going on for a while.  I don't consider it a bug as it has an easy workaround.  I'm almost 100% sure Bruce knows about it but I would think it's not at the top of the priority list.

Hi Chuck,

It's this sort of "edge case" behavior which is making it hard to maintain both the jQueryUI and jQueryMobile frameworks simultaneously. Indeed it makes it not just harder for me, but it doubles up on your testing etc. I haven't yet decided 100%, but I'm leaning in that direction.

cheers
