HTML Editor Limit?
« on: March 03, 2008, 07:44:54 AM »
I am using the HTML Editor option (that uses TinyMCE) in a form on a column that is sized to 4000 characters but there appears to be a limit of 1001 characters in the editor.  After editing, only the first 1001 characters are displayed.  I have tried adding more text than that in the record via external means but still only the first 1001 characters are displayed.  Is there anything known about a limitation in the HTML editor option?  If not, what might be causing this to happen in my program?

Also are there plans to upgrade the TinyMCE support to version 3.x and what are the steps to add in other features (plugins).  I would like to be able to insert pictures/images, view the generated html, etc.

Thanks,

John

BTW, I have sent a support message about this (and other things) to Capesoft Support but it appears as if not all of my messages are getting through for some reason.

Please disregard the limit problem I reported in my previous message.  I found the problem in a mismatched local variable.

I'm still interested in any information about adding tinymce plugins and the feasibility of upgrading to version 3.x.
