NetWebYear functionality
« on: January 17, 2012, 02:54:21 AM »
I am just starting to seriosuly get into NetWebYear and wanting to plan my strategy for development.

My ultimate aim is to produce something like these 2 screenshots. I am not concerned about the look of it but the format of the data being shown.

What I want to do is basically produce a grid like effect. The time column I can deal with in code (i.e. a table with 20 rows or something each with a time.) Column headers along the top the same.

But how would I reproduce this table using NT6?

I know it seems like reinventing the wheel but quite frankly I see no purpose in NWY (sorry I am almost certainly wrong!). But without being able to produce multiple appointments on the same day and provide a drag and drop function I do not really see it's use. Of course it could be I just need a bit of guidance - almost certainly! But I MUST have the ability to have multiple appointments on each day and also need to be able to see those individually rather than just a color coded cell showing there is at least one appointment.

If however there was a way to use the current templates to produce anything similar to thes screenshots in terms of how the data is presented I would be very happy. If anyone has done this if they could post an example that would be really useful just to get me started.

Many thanks

John

having appointments span multiple rows, and specifically partial rows, is not something easily accomplished at the moment.

OK no problem Bruce. Do you think this might be achievable at some future stage and if so any rough estimated timescales. Don't worry I won't hold you to it <g>

Thanks

John

I don't have a meaningful answer to either question at this time.
