How to Reset a Tab immediately a field is updated
« on: December 12, 2011, 01:43:48 PM »
On my form I have several Tabs. One Tab is only displayed on a  condition (LastName <> ''). If I add a record and save, the tab appears when I open the form again.

But ideally I want to unhide that tab immediately the Last Name is entered.

I have a Reset Field on the Last Name for another purpose but cannot reset the Tab Display here, although at that point the condition has been satisfied. Is there another way to have that Tab appear immediately the Last name is entered without having to go back into the form?

I have tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to be able to do this.

Thanks

john

Your tab needs to have a "Use Equate" before it can be unhidden from here.

Sorry Bruce - did that and according to the book it says if unhiding a field to select Comment, Value and prompt. OK so this is a Tab.

Anyway I am now getting Routine not defined::Refresh::PatientTab whether I select any of the above or not

Attached is how I have set up the Hidden Tab Properties and the Reset Field properties if it helps.
