Session end and loggedin status

Hi,

When a user is logged in and the session times out, the menu still shows the options which have the "User must be logged in" box ticked. That is okay.
However, when the user selects one of these "User must be logged in" menu options, the menu shrinks to its logged-out size but the procedure is called anyway and the requested page show reagrdless of being logged in or not.
Shouldn't the login form show in stead?
