Title: Move NT 10.15 web server
Post by: jking on February 16, 2018, 12:45:38 PM
I have a NT 10.15 web server working fine from server A.  I use the host.exe app to host two such servers, both get SSL certs from Let's Encrypt.  I want to move everything to a new server B, on a new network and new public IP address.  I simply copied all folders containing the working web servers and host.exe to the new server B.  I find I cannot connect to the web servers on the new server.  This new server has a public IP address and has port 80 and 443 open, so they tell me.  Have I missed something or is it still not configured properly?

Thanks,

Jeff

Have you changed the DNS entry so it points to the new public IP address?

Vinnie,

I think you hit on it.  I was trying the new IP address instead of the old domain name.  I think this is the wrong thing to do as the domain name is associated with the certificate(s).  I need to associate the IP address at the new server to the domain at my registrar.  Have I got that correct?

Thanks,

Jeff
