Title: PR27 serious problem
Post by: Alberto on December 29, 2008, 11:13:12 AM
App with PR25 , all working fine.
Download PR27
Intalled, copied web folder, recompiled and when I try to open a page with a browse, IE sais inmediatelly :
Internet explorer can not open the page http://127.0.0:88/FramePage

Other pages, a NetWebForm and some NetWebPages opens without problems.

I reinstalled, recopy the web folder, press Ctrl-F5 and nothing happens.

Any idea? and where can I found the PR25?

A clue:
Its a form with a browse and the From heading appears before the error.

I just downloaded PR 27 and am experiencing the same thing!  This is what I am getting:

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://127.0.0.1:1180/OrderForm.

Operation aborted.

Hi,

I had the same error and reported this to
Bruce yesterday.

PR26 work fine.
In the meantime revert back to PR26.

Bruce is busy looking into the problem..

Hi Guys,

Sorry for that - it is caused by a bug in IE (documented here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927917)
which appears to have been fixed in at least some versions of IE7. Apparently there is an MS patch out for this, so I suspect it'll kick in for some IE users, but not for others. (I'm running a reasonably up-to-date IE7 on Vista and did not get the problem.)

The good news is that a work-around is fairly straight-forward, so I've implemented that and am busy doing the PR28 release now.

Cheers
Bruce
