Hallo Bruce,
After upgrade to 7.35 I have many browse that did not show any more a locator...
7.35 - 14 February 2014
Change: Locators suppressed if Browse has no default sort order, and headers set to No Sort.
Why? Why should I have header set to sort?? I rare make header sortable. Why it's not enough to have the field as sort order?
It will be a mess to have enable header sort to all browse.
Please leave us an alternative.
Thank you,
Robert

Hallo Bruce,
NT8.06 it's broke again.

Hi Robert,
It seems to be ok in NT 8.08, but maybe it depends on the locator type you are using?
I noticed it was applying the underline style in some headings which weren't clickable, and I've updated those for 8.09.
Cheers

NT 8.09 - still not working.
It will work "only" if Sort Header is activated.... Is this a req options now for locator to work?
Thank you,

Can you set one of the examples to duplicate the problem and then st here please Robert. In my test Iwas unable to create the effect you are seeing, but it may be dependent on some combination of settings.
Cheers

Hallo Bruce,
Example BasicBrowseAndForm (1) attached.
You can see that the locator does not show above browse even if I set to show and the MailBox column is set to default order. Then if you go in settings to Sort tab and select Server-side sort it will show.
Hope you will see the effect.
Thank you,
Robert

ok, you have a column set as the default sort order, but not the "default sort order" set on the Locators tab of the browse itself.
That is perfectly fine, but I had to add a bit of code to deal with that combination. Fixed in 8.10
cheers
