Title: spliting app to dlls

i have been trying to break up a single big app into little dll apps but just can't get it to work. Do i have to click in stringtheory template this is part of mullti-dll program on every app and if i am using winevent do need to do the same?
i keep getting this error: Duplicate symbol: ADDLINE@F12STRINGTHEORYlsb in BASE, original file StringTheory.obj on the dll with the webserver on but the other dlls compile fine without errors.
