Title: NT7.34 Locator Field now Above and Below Browse

Hi Bruce

 I upgrade To NT7.34 and found that my Locator Position is now Above and Below the Browse, but the Above Browse Radio button is selected. I change it to Below Browse but still now change. I select No Locator then it removes the Locator Position. I select again Above Browse then it is again above and below browse.

Any suggestions

Have the same problem after 7.34, also tried setting to "below" and back to "top" but still showing.  When clicking on a column header to sort the data the second search/locator is removed.

ok, I need more information to duplicate here;
a) what locator type are you using?
b) what does the "prompt" for the locator say _before_ you click a column?

Hi Willie,

Have you tried setting one of the columns on the browse as the default sort order?

added default sort order on a field and then both the search entry fields is gone.

Hi Willie,

can you duplicate in an example and post it here please. I'm unable to duplicate the effect you are getting.

Just for information

I had the same problem with the Locator Top and Bottom using NT7.34.

Did as Bruce suggested - Set Default Sort Order.

Also changed Locator Type from 'Position' to 'Start With'

All is OK now. Locator works great and appear at the Top as Set.

Use one of the users to login
Username  = morne
Password  = morne123

If you want locators, you should have
a) Browse / Sort tab / Sorting set to "Server-Side"  (you have this set to "none")
b) one of the columns set as the "This column is the default sort order"
