Title: SFTP
Post by: Matthew on June 05, 2012, 02:30:31 AM
Hello,

Is it possible to connect to the ftp using SFTP not FTPS?

Will it be implemented in near future?

Regards,
Matthew

Hi Matthew,

no, not likely. SFTP uses SSH as the underlying security layer, and it would be a lot of work to implement that.

Cheers

ok

but what about Explicit Mode?

In documentation of NetTalk:
http://www.capesoft.com/docs/NetTalk6/NetTalk6Upgrade.htm#FTPoverSSL

in section FTP over SSL we can read:
Quote
Support for Explicit SSL will be released shortly.

When this method will be implemented?

Matthew

yes, hopefully explicit mode (FTPS) in the not too distant future.
implicit mode (FTPS) is already working.

cheers
