Post by: franjava on May 27, 2012, 07:41:55 PM

I'm trying to configure example email send using hotmail, but have not been able to get it to work.
which parameters are needed to do.

Thanks!

I have no idea Francisco - I've never sent mail through Hotmail. I guess the right people to ask would be them - or at least get some docs from them on "how to set up your mail client to send via hotmail". Once you have those instructions, I guess we can help you translate them into NetTalk...

cheers

Francisco,

I'm assuming you know how to configure the email setting in the SendMail procedure...

HotMail uses these server settings:

Incoming Server:  pop3.live.com  Port:  995  (Use Secure Password Authentication)  Port 995 indicates that it also uses SSL.

Outgoing Server:  smtp.live.com  Port:  587 (TLS enabled, port 587)

I have not tested these settings as I do not have a HotMail account.

Good luck,

Don
