Title: How are you publishing your nettalk5 webserver apps?
Post by: DonnieS on May 29, 2010, 06:00:13 AM
I am running and testing my netttalk5 webserver apps locally.  I need to publish it where my client can come on and look and test - how/where do i do this?

Also where do I find the best and most recent docs on using NetTalk5?

Thanks.

Hi Donnie,

There is a doc, from the NetTalk 4 days, in the docs folder, discussing deployment.
In addition to the information there I believe Rackspace is beta testing Windows VM machines as well.

I'm working on updating the NetTlak 4 docs to NetTalk 5 - but in the meantime the "share knowledge" section on his forum has interesting "mini docs".

Cheers
Bruce

Hi Bruce,
In cloud windows servers they are offering Windows 2003 with 512Mb ram, will 512 Mb ram work with a NTWserver?

Hi Alberto,

yes, the NetTalk server doesn't use much ram so you should be ok on that front. It's not enough though if you're running MsSql or something like that though.

cheers

Thanks Bruce,
And... is there any way of calculate the bandwith use by a NTWserver?
They are charging the bandwith like: 8cents per GB incoming and 22cents per GB outgoing.
