Title: how add links to files ?

i have table with data and path to a file. I want to display on browse list of files with link to this file. Paths are varius and this files cannot be inside web folder (as is shown in some examples), how to make this link.

There is a 2nd Example which shows how to serve up a file from anywhere on your server which works for me.
